The Progress Building depicts the development of various aspects of American life.

One section is devoted to the dramatic changes made in the home from 1850, 1900, to 1925.  You will see the progression: from oil lamps, to kerosene lanterns, to electric lights; from carrying water, to pumping water, to running water; from open-fire place, to wood cook-stove, to electric-gas cook stove; from cellar , to ice box, to refrigerator...and much more!

Other areas include displays of Ohio River glass, barn looms, printing presses...

...early arcade, soda fountain and a miniature amusement park.
